Every book, every volume you see here, has a soul. The soul of the person who wrote it and of those who read it and lived and dreamed with it. Every time a book changes hands, every time someone runs his eyes down its pages, its spirit grows and strengthens. ~The Shadow of the Wind

This is such a wonderful time of year for spiced ciders, wines and rums.  I love the simplicity of this recipe and how beautiful the presentation can be for a party.

Ingredients ~
  • 1 or 2 bottles of your favorite Cabernet
  • 6 cinnamon sticks
  • 6 cloves (whole)
  • 1/8 tsp allspice
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 orange (sliced)
Directions ~
  1. Pour the wine into a crock pot and begin to heat.
  2. Add sugar and spices. Stir until sugar has dissolved.
  3. Heat thoroughly but do not boil.
  4. Add sliced orange.
  5. Serve hot and garnish with a cinnamon stick.
Enjoy!

Have a wonderful shopping/football/eating leftover turkey and ham weekend!
