Every book, every volume you see here, has a soul. The soul of the person who wrote it and of those who read it and lived and dreamed with it. Every time a book changes hands, every time someone runs his eyes down its pages, its spirit grows and strengthens. ~The Shadow of the Wind

NYC Here I Come!!!!

To say I am excited would be the understatement of the century! This year I am going to break the bank and go to BookExpo America and the Book Bloggers Convention - yes, I AM such a complete nerd, and I love it!

I am thrilled to be able to room with my good friend and fellow blogger, Michelle from red headed book child, and we'll be hanging out with Steph The Bookworm quite a bit too!  I am bouncing off the walls, anxious to pack, must go shop for just the right shoes, oh and everyone I will get to meet!!!

And I know my friend Kathy from BermudaOnion is going to be there so I'll get to see her again! This is going to be such a marvelous trip. Girls Gone Wild.....Over Books!!!! And I'm already checking on where the free wi-fi sites are so I can perhaps slip in a few posts here and there with some pictures! I want to share every moment with you! I'm so giddy, I feel like a schoolgirl on her first date....hmm, how much trouble can Michelle and I get into - no kids, no men and thousands of books! Sounds like a land of nerd-dom to my son, my daughters will probably want to hide in my suitcase and go along with me!

So lovely friends, do I get to meet YOU in person at BEA or BBC?

  3. Stacy you will have so much fun. I went last year and it was a blast.

A little piece of advice get really comfortable shoes because you will be on your feet alot at BEA and nothing is worse then having sore feet.

If you haven't met Kathy in real life you will quickly realize that she is amazing in person. What you see online is what she is like in real life.

    have fun :)

  5. Ohhhhh, I am so jealous Stacy! I was going to go, but then ended up moving into my own place. Between that expense and going to Phoenix on April 1st, I just couldn't swing it. Oh well, there's always next year!

  9. Yay!! So excited that you're going! I think I'm going to be able to go as well as long as I can switch some meetings around. I'm dragging Jason as well, but he's going to hang with friends we have in NYC and New Jersey, while I'm in book heaven! I'll shoot you an email once I finalize details!
