Mini-Book Review: Haunted Echoes by Julie Ann Howell
If you did not get enough of the ghost stories during the month of October then I recommend you pick up Haunted Echoes by Julie Ann Howell. I have not read a classic ghost story in such a long time and this one has all of the elements! A creepy haunted house in a small town off the coast of Maine, ghosts who move skeleton keys and terrorize the dog, an author on retreat to write her next book and townspeople who will not tell her what is wrong with the bed and breakfast in which she is staying.....these elements wrap up into a ghost story that will have you hiding under the covers and looking under the eaves of the porch! Highly recommended!

Sounds really creepy. Feel sorry for the dog though!
ReplyDeleteI'm never done with these stories -- I'm fine with it year round! And really, something about New England is the perfect setting for creepy ghost stories! (It's my favorite place, I visit Boston 3 or 4 times a year to see family)!
ReplyDeleteI love these kinds of stories, even when it's not the time of year for them, so I will have to keep this book in mind. I am so glad you enjoyed it and will be looking for it!
ReplyDeleteGreat mini! I always love ghost stories!
ReplyDeleteWould this be considered a cozy mystery story? It sounds like fun!
