It's so hard to believe how fast this year is flying by! July is already here....only a few short months until Christmas is HERE! Are you one of those shoppers who prepare all year long? or, like me, do wait until December arrives and then begin? or, are you even more daring and wait until December 24th and rush out at the last minute? Well, hopefully a few of these links can help you in your shopping.
Levenger "Tools for Serious Readers" This site has some fabulous lap desks on the higher end of pricing, but oh, to own one of those!
Chinaberry "Books and Other Treasures for the Whole Family" One of my personal favorites for gifts for children! Chinaberry has THE best recommendations of age appropriate books from 0 - adult, indoor & outdoor puzzles and games and even a beach/picnic blanket that I use everywhere!
Bas Bleu "...Your source for inspired gifts and accessories for readers" A very cool site that I recently discovered through reading Bookzilla's blog! I love finding new accessories to assist me in my reading um, I can't really call it a habit because it's more like an obsession.....anyone else have that problem?
The Reader's Catalog "thoughtful books and gifts" This site just has some really neat different items that are not located anywhere else - check it out (or have your honey check it out for you and order your Christmas stocking stuffers!)
The Reader's Shop "gifts and apparel for book lovers" I adore funny t-shirts and coffee mugs and if they have to do with reading all the better! This site has every quote, every funny reading saying you can imagine. Way cool!!!
The Christmas Spirit "sharing the love of Christmas and keeping the spirit all year long" The True Book Addict has this amazing blog with all kinds of really neat information about Christmas, great craft ideas, gift ideas, giveaways, tons of Christmas-y tips! Check her out!
Of course there's always Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Indie Books for book and reading-related items, but above are just a few sites I thought could get your creative juices flowing for unique Christmas gifts. Enjoy! and Merry Christmas in July; Feliz Navidad; Joyeux Noel;
Froehliche Weihnachten; Buone Feste Natalizie; Natale hilare et Annum Faustum!

I know. I can't believe how time passes. I'm off to check out these splendid links :)
ReplyDeleteFinally...another book blog does a post about Christmas in July! I have a year round Christmas blog too and I've been having a month long event over there. Here is my post about some of the upcoming Christmas book releases for this Christmas season: http://christmasspirit-thetruebookaddict.blogspot.com/2010/07/new-christmas-book-releases-for-2010.html I hope you will stop by and look around. I'm also having a giveaway that ends on the 31st.
ReplyDeleteI'm starring your post in my reader so I can refer back to the sites you mentioned. Thanks!
Great post! I am not organized enough to start shopping yet. I usually start sometime in November...
ReplyDeleteWhat a terrific idea for a post!!
ReplyDeleteI do not plan for Christmas all year long - but I do start thinking about possible gifts for loved ones starting around the first of September. In fact, it is the running joke in my family that on Labor Day I pronounce that "Christmas will be here before you know it!"
I gave you an award over here
